Firesetter Intervention - Information and Advice

Each year many families have their home, part of their home or areas of their community destroyed by fire started either accidentally or deliberately by children.

Cleveland Fire Brigade offer a FREE service which aims to stop involvement with fire by educating children and their parents about the dangers of fire and the consequences of its misuse.

What is Involved - pre-arranged visits will be made, usually to your home, by two specialist Fire Brigade staff. They will support and educate the young person in changing their firesetting behaviour and their attitude to firesetting. Topics covered in the education include role of the Fire Brigade, fire safety in the home, hoax calling and fire related car crime.
