Heugh Gun Battery

Heugh Gun Battery

The Heugh Battery defended the port of Hartlepool for almost a hundred years during which time it's guns ranged from smooth bore cannon to advanced radar controlled weapons that could hit a target 14 miles away.

The Heugh Battery has been restored to show how it would have appeared in the First and Second World Wars.  There is also a comprehensive collection of British artillery which includes naval, field and anti aircraft guns.
