Hartlepool & Stockton-on-Tees Safeguarding Children Partnership (HSSCP)

Hartlepool & Stockton-on-Tees Safeguarding Children Partnership (HSSCP) is a partnership of local agencies who are working together to safeguard and protect the Children and Young People of Hartlepool & Stockton-on-Tees.

Safeguarding children is everyone’s responsibility and Hartlepool & Stockton-on-Tees Safeguarding Children Partnership brings together people who work with children and their families to ensure that the safety and welfare of children is at the heart of their work.  HSSCP leads the work to safeguard children in the Hartlepool & Stockton-on-Tees Safeguarding Children area

Hartlepool and Stockton-on-Tees Safeguarding Children Partnership (HSSCP) was established in April 2019 in response to the changes in Children and Social Work Act 2017 and Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018.

The safeguarding partnership arrangement replaces the two Local Safeguarding Children Boards (LSCB’s) for Hartlepool and Stockton-on-Tees. In accordance with Working Together 2018, HSSCP’s safeguarding partners are Hartlepool Borough Council, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, Cleveland Police and Hartlepool and Stockton-on-Tees Clinical Commissioning Group. It also has representation from other local relevant agencies.

Our agreed vision for Hartlepool and Stockton-on-Tees Safeguarding Children Partnership (HSSCP) is to ensure:

“Every child in Hartlepool and Stockton feels safe, secure and is protected from harm; enabling them to reach their full potential.”
